About Me

Roberto Jorquera
I was born in Chile in 1970 and after the military coup in 1973 my parents and the rest of my family fled the repression and we migrated to Australia. For most of my adult life I have been involved in solidarity work with Latin America through various organisations. I am currently involved in the Centre for Latin America Solidarity & Studies and with the Australia-Venezuela Solidarity Network. In 2005 and 2006 I visited Venezuela so that I could experience the unfolding revolution, an experience that I will never forget. This blog is my way to express my views on the situation and to provide a resource for others so that more people will discover the Venezuelan revolution and get inspired to help change the world.
